A student is officially registered for a course when named on the official class roster. This official class roster includes only those students whose academic and financial records are clear. Grades and credits will not be recorded for any course for which a student is not officially registered.

Change of Registration
In the Day Program a student may change registration without financial or academic penalty during the official add/drop period, normally 10 days after classes begin. Students must have written permission from the instructor and advisor to add a course after the first week of classes. Thereafter, the student may withdraw (WD) from a course up to one week after the midterm with academic penalty. There is a fee for any change made after the official add/drop period.

In Weekend College and Carlow Accelerated Program courses, change of registration must be completed one day prior to the beginning of the second class. Students who miss more than two sessions cannot receive a passing grade for the course. Carlow Accelerated Program students must withdraw within four calendar weeks of the beginning of class, and Weekend College students must withdraw within six calendar weeks of the beginning of class to receive a WD.
